Zygmunt Bauman (n. 19 noiembrie 1925, în Poznań, Polonia) este un sociolog polonez de origine evreiască.
Din 1971, este rezident în Marea Britanie după ce a fost izgonit din Polonia în urma unei campaniei antisemite din această țară. Bauman este profesor de sociologie la Universitatea din Leeds, iar din 1990, profesor emerit. A devenit cunoscut pentru analizele sale privind legăturile dintre modernism și Holocaust și consumismul postmodern.
